CAESAR RODNEY Solid Sterling Silver Limited edition collectors plate by The Franklin Mint. 1975 Official Bicentennial Commemorative plate featuring Caesar Rodney, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and Delaware Governor. The plate reads: "The voice of my people at home is for independence". ESTATE SALE FIND. Plate is in great shape. Some discoloration along plate edge where it has been touching the glass. SEE PHOTOS. The plate is made of Sterling Silver with 24Kt Gold electroplated highlights. It is numbered 3964 on the back of the plate. The plate measures 8" in diameter and comes in a Franklin Mint FRAME. This frame has a circle cutout on the back to display the words on the plate. The backing is held on with a wire system that is easy to remove and replace. Frame measures 12" x 12" x 2" ******Wooden Frame is in GREAT Shape. There is one nick on the left edge. SEE PHOTO. Black backing surrounding the plate is DETERIOATING. It is a flocked cardboard that has not stood up well to being stored.
